We all want to get traffic to our
website don't we? Well, I have found a sure fire way
to increase your traffic by up to thirty percent. You may ask
yourself, how is this possible? The answer is "use a
signature file". A signature file is a four to five
line
text file that you send out with all your emails. Today's
NetDummy will show you exactly how to create and use your
signature file to increase your website traffic.
I, of course, can not promise results but, speaking from
experience, with the proper
use of signature files you can get an increase in traffic to your
website.
We hope that you find this newsletter interesting and useful.

THE OLD MAN AND THE C: PROMPT
There was once a young man who,
in his youth, professed his desire to become
a great writer. When asked to define great, he said, "I
want to write stuff that the
whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly
emotional level, stuff
that will make them scream, cry, howl in pain and anger!"
He now works for Microsoft writing error messages.

Create A Signature File
Signature files are a simple yet
effective way to drive traffic to your site. All you need
is a short four to five line of text that gives someone the motivation to click
on your
link. You can start with your tag line, it doesn't have to be that long just a
little
blurb about your site and what your product or service is, and then include the
link
to your website, here's an example of a signature file:

If you would like to include any other information that may be pertinent that is
at
your discretion. Just remember to keep your Signature file down to at least four
to five lines and no more than 70 characters, anything more and people
lose
interest thinking it is an advertisement.

Using Your Signature File
Now on to the important stuff. You're asking, I have a signature file how can
I
use it effectively and get more traffic to my website? Well, here's what you
do,
search the web and find some email discussion groups that are related
to
whatever product or service you are trying to market and join the discussions.
Make sure that your signature file goes on each email you send and then
watch
your hit counter.
Some good email discussion group sites to check out are:
egroups: www.egroups.com
Deja.com: www.deja.com
Forum One: www.forumone.com
Excite Message Boards: boards.excite.com
Yahoo! Message Boards: messages.yahoo.com
Talk City: boards.talkcity.com
Another way to use your signature file is in newsgroups. I'm sure at one
time
or another we have all been on a newsgroup. Imagine all the people who will
see your message if you include a signature file on every message you send
to the newsgroup. There are literally thousands of newsgroups, covering
just
about any topic you can imagine. Be sure to find newsgroups that are
related
to your product or service, there is no quicker way to get banned than to
promote something that is not remotely related to the topic.
